Treasurer Zweifel Appoints New Senior Staff

State Treasurer Clint Zweifel announced today he has appointed Andrew Maschhoff to be his Director of Investments and Paul Cushing to be his Director of Information Technology.

"Andrew and Paul bring a great deal of experience to my team," Treasurer Zweifel said. "Andrew will work closely with me to ensure we are making strategic investments that create and retain Missouri jobs and move our economy forward. Paul will continue my priority of protecting Missouri’s investments each and every day and looking for ways we can use technology to improve efficiency and accountability, from investments to unclaimed property to banking services."

Andrew Maschhoff of Floral Park, N.Y., is a CFA charterholder and is leaving Deutsche Bank in New York to become Treasurer Zweifel’s Director of Investments. Most recently, while at Deutsche Bank, Maschhoff held the title of director and was a senior portfolio manager for the global insurance fixed-income division, and divided time between Frankfurt and London. Maschhoff was responsible for the management of about $7 billion in fixed-income assets for insurance clients. Prior to that, he was vice president and fixed-income portfolio manager for institutional clients at Deutsche Bank, and was jointly responsible for the management of up to $20 billion in investment-grade fixed-income assets.

Maschhoff attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., and Illinois State University in Bloomington. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Paul Cushing of Rocheport, Mo., is leaving Miller’s Professional Imaging in Columbia, Mo., to become Treasurer Zweifel’s Director of Information Technology. Cushing worked for Miller’s Professional Imaging for nine years where he was responsible for managing all IT-related tasks at the plant including networking, programming and contractor supervision. Cushing has also worked in IT departments at Missouri State University and Dameron Color Labs in Springfield, Mo

Cushing has an Electro-Mechanical diploma from Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute in Clearwater, Fla.
